Hurricane Irma

For the last two weeks hurricane Irma which stretched for G50 miles has took over five states including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama. The hurricane took twenty three people’s lives among among the five states. Four million, five hundred sixty two thousand houses were without power. The hurricane destroyed 90 percent of buildings and vehicles.
Twenty three people died from the hurricane, but the most deaths came from the Caribbean Island. The winds speed was 185 miles per gust. Twenty five houses on the chain of islands are destroyed. It’s the first time the United States had two category hurricanes in the same year. Irma was the most intense observed in the Atlantic since Dean in 2007.
Gas stations in Atlanta have reported outages because of the hurricane. A woman passed away due to a fallen tree on her vehicle. More than a million people in Georgia are without power. People are opening up their houses for evacuees. Even though the hurricane lasted two weeks, it will be remembered forever.
